SINE2020 has a new Industrial Liaison Officer (ILO). Caroline Boudou started on March 1st at the Institut Laue-Langevin. She will work beside Marc Thiry from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, who is ILO as well as the leader of the Industry Consultancy work package . She is in charge of raising awareness among industrial companies about the use of neutron techniques and she will assist them during feasibility studies at neutron centres.

Caroline studied applied Physics and spent her PhD time at the European Synchrotron Research Facility, with a fellowship with the Grenoble University. She worked for 7 years in industrial companies where her activity was related to x-ray detectors development.

“It is a real challenge for me to address characterization issues encountered in industry sectors with neutrons! In collaboration with scientific experts in European neutron facilities, we will propose the most appropriate experiment to help the companies’ R&D process moving forward.”

SINE2020 welcomes Caroline in the project!
