ISIS

ISIS Neutron and Muon Source located at STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, owned and operated by the Science and Technology Facilities Council. Research and facilities are free to use to all researchers around the world in the field of physics, chemistry, materials science, geology, engineering and biology.

The institute is a neutron and muon source. Complementary to neutron scattering, muon spectroscopy is often considered an alternative and an equivalent technique. ISIS currently has over 30 neutron and muon instruments offering neutron diffraction, neutron spectroscopy, small angle scattering, etc.

STFC are contributing to the SINE2020 work packages in the following ways:
